ECORBIT Water Expends Senior Internship Program to Promote Workforce Diversity

 

- Company strengthens commitment to ESG by hiring experienced senior professionals

 

 

ECORBIT Water, a leading water treatment company, is expanding its Senior Internship Program to create more job opportunities for older professionals as part of its broader commitment to workforce diversity and ESG principles. Since launching the initiative in 2022, the company has hired 11 senior employees and plans to continue expanding the program nationwide.

 

ECORBIT Water’s Senior Internship Program is run in collaboration with the Songpa Senior Club and the Gyeonggi Eastern Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The program offers financial support to businesses hiring individuals aged 60 and older, helping experienced professionals stay active in the workforce while contributing their skills to key industries.

 

"Senior employees bring invaluable expertise and technical knowledge to our operations," said a spokesperson for ECORBIT Water. "As part of our ESG strategy, we are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace that values both environmental responsibility and social impact."

 

Since joining the program in 2022, ECORBIT Water has successfully integrated senior hires across its nationwide operations. As of September 2023, 11 senior employees have been recruited, with plans to increase participation in the coming years.

 

ECORBIT Water is South Korea’s largest private operator of public wastewater treatment facilities, managing over 750 environmental infrastructure sites across the country.
