ECORBIT Water Wins Award of '2024 Water Quality TMS Utilization Contest'

 

 

ECORBIT Water, a water treatment subsidiary of ECORBIT, announced on the 8th that Gyeongsan Public Wastewater Treatment Facility and Wonneung Water Quality Restoration Center were selected as excellent cases in the '2024 Water Quality TMS Utilization Contest' hosted and organized by the Ministry of Environment and the Korea Environment Corporation.

 

ECORBIT Water Gyeongsan Public Wastewater Treatment Facility and Wonneung Water Quality Restoration Center received an Excellence Award from the Chairman of the Korea Environment Corporation at the '2024 Water Quality TMS·Ecotoxicity·Water Pollution Control Joint Discussion' held at the Nest Hotel in Jung-gu, Incheon for two days from the 7th, attended by approximately 350 public and private stakeholders in the fields of domestic water quality TMS, ecotoxicity, and water pollution control.

 

The Water Quality Remote Monitoring System (TMS) refers to a system that remotely manages discharged water quality by attaching 'water quality automatic measuring devices' to 1,077 public wastewater treatment facilities with a treatment capacity of 700 tons or more or businesses with daily wastewater discharge of 200 tons or more. As of last year, 631 public sewage treatment facilities, 151 public wastewater treatment facilities, and 295 wastewater discharge businesses are applying it.

 

ECORBIT Water Gyeongsan Public Wastewater Treatment Facility and Wonneung Water Quality Restoration Center received high evaluations for detecting improper practices by discharge companies through review of water quality TMS measurement data, improving process operation, and reducing operating costs through the first document review and the second face-to-face (PT) review.

 

ECORBIT Water CEO Kim In-seok said, “As a leading company in the domestic water treatment market, it is very meaningful that our business sites were simultaneously selected as excellent cases of utilizing TMS measurement data hosted by the Ministry of Environment and the Korea Environment Corporation.” He added, “We will continue to do our best to reduce discharge pollution and create a clean water environment through efficient operation management as a model company for the environmental industry.”
