ECORBIT Water’s National Industrial Complex Wastewater Facility Earns Energy Efficiency Excellence Certification for the Third Consecutive Time
ECORBIT Water announced on the 3rd that its National Industrial Complex Wastewater Facility has received the Energy Efficiency Target Program Excellence Certification, awarded by the Korea Energy Agency.
The National Industrial Complex Wastewater Facility achieved this certification by replaced old equipment, including inflow pumps, centrifugal dewatering machines, and screening conveyors, and internal lighting with new, high-efficiency energy-saving equipment, reducing electricity consumption by 4% beyond the set target, earning recognition for its efforts in energy conservation.
‘The Voluntary Energy Efficiency Target Program’ is a system operated by the Korea Energy Agency, designed for energy-intensive industrial and power generation facilities. Under this program, participating facilities set their own energy efficiency improvement goals and implement measures to achieve them. A review committee evaluates and verifies their performance, granting certification to those that meet the criteria.
The National Industrial Complex Wastewater Facility has been recognized as an outstanding energy-efficient site for three consecutive terms since 2020, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable energy management.
