ECORBIT Water announced on the 31st that it received the 'Top Grade (Laboratory of Excellence)' certification for 2 consecutive years in the '2024 International Proficiency Evaluation'.
ECORBIT Water is the No. 1 company in the public sewage treatment private sector consignment market (based on treatment capacity) and operates approximately 860 environmental infrastructure facilities nationwide.
The International Proficiency Evaluation is a highly credible international certification program run by the Environmental Resources Association (ERA) in the United States that verifies the reliability and accuracy of measurement and analysis data from testing agencies around the world.
ECORBIT Water participated in this evaluation with 37 out of 58 laboratories, continuing last year, and received the highest grade in all five water quality categories (BOD, TOC, SS, T-N, T-P), proving excellence in all 28 local governments and 37 laboratories, the largest scale in the industry for a single company.
The inflow and discharge water quality of environmental basic facilities, including public sewage and wastewater treatment facilities, is important enough to be strongly regulated by the Ministry of Environment, and is one of the factors that can affect national statistics as well as sewage facility installation and operation plans. Therefore, it can be said that it is essential to have analytical capabilities for the reliability and accuracy of test analysis results in order to clarify water quality management standards.
ECORBIT Water official said, “Test analysis data produced at environmental basic facilities is important basic data for national and local government environmental policies.” He added, “We will continue to work to increase the accuracy and reliability of data produced at ECORBIT Water’s laboratories.”
The company aims to have all of its laboratories, including the new laboratories, participate in the international proficiency assessment and receive the highest grade by 2025.
Meanwhile, ECORBIT Water operates its own quality management verification system for all laboratories to increase the reliability and accuracy of test data, as well as operating systems such as awards for excellent laboratories, training of experts in the field of test analysis, and ongoing consulting.
