- Increase metal recovery rate and stability in black powder manufacturing by adding high temperature heat treatment process and upgrading screening process

- Waste battery transportation, black powder manufacturing, and selection of valuable metals in by-products are also available one-stop.

ECORBIT Pretech announced on the 10th that it will participate in "2023 Interbattery,"
the largest exhibition specializing in secondary battery industry in Korea, and introduce the secondary battery recycling business.

ECORBIT Pretech is a subsidiary specializing in recycling secondary batteries, E-waste (electronic waste), and solar waste panels of ECORBIT, the largest comprehensive environmental company in Korea.

ECORBIT Pretech is responsible for the manufacture of black powder that corresponds to pretreatment during the secondary battery recycling process, which is largely divided into pretreatment and post-treatment.

Black powder is a fine powder form by decomposing the secondary battery into cells and crushing it.

ECORBIT Pretech's black powder manufacturing process introduced a high-temperature heat treatment process and advanced the screening process of filtering impurities from the black powder,
increasing the metal recovery rate and work stability compared to the existing process.

ECORBIT Pretech is equipped with facilities capable of producing 30 tons of black powder per day and has processed more than 15,000 used batteries since it started its waste battery recycling business in 2017.

Meanwhile, "2023 Inter Battery," in which ECORBIT Pretech participates, is the largest secondary battery industry exhibition in Korea, considered one of the world's top three battery exhibitions along with China International Battery Exhibition and Battery Japan.

The exhibition will be held at COEX in Seoul for three days from March 15 to 17, with about 500 companies expected to participate in the exhibition and more than 50,000 buyers visiting.

"We are a company that can solve waste battery transportation, black powder production, and valuable metal extraction in one stop, and we can handle process scraps by battery manufacturers and material makers," an ECORBIT Pretech official said.
