ECORBIT WATER Enters Global Water Treatment Market

- ECORBIT WATER treatment subsidiary signed a contract to operate a water purification plant in Bhandal Jhuri, Bangladesh
ECORBIT WATER announced on the 16th that it has entered the Bangladesh water treatment market by signing a trial operation contract for a water purification plant located in Chattogram, Bangladesh.
ECORBIT WATER is the No. 1 company in the domestic public water treatment market and operates more than 750 environmental basic facilities nationwide.
The operation contract was signed by ECORBIT WATER to carry out technical education and operation stabilization work for locals, including test-driving at the newly constructed Bhandal Jhuri Water Purification Plant.
The contract period is 15 months from April 23 to June 24.
The Bhandal Jhuri Water Purification Plant is a water purification plant with a daily throughput of 60,000 tons and was constructed by Taeyoung Construction, a domestic construction company.
Chatogram, where the water purification plant is located, is a port city in southeastern Bangladesh,
where many Korean companies have entered ODA (Official Development Assistance) projects, and five sewage treatment plants are currently being designed and constructed.
An official from ECORBIT WATER said, "We have operated related projects for about 20 years since 2004 and conducted a pilot project for the Equatorial Guinea water purification plant in Africa in 2013,
and have the capabilities and know-how to operate domestic and foreign water treatment facilities."
"We will demonstrate the excellence of the Korean environmental industry by showing Taeyoung Construction's construction capabilities and ECORBIT operational capabilities in Bangladesh," he said.
